People have been asking me where they should stay while at the event on October 16th and 17th in San Diego, CA.

Before I moved to San Diego County I became an expert at searching out good places to stay and I regularly paid $150 per night.

THEN Joe Kowal and EcoMates COO Robert VanBoerum told me about Priceline, a perfect example of good old fashioned word of mouth advertising at work!

From then on I never paid more than $90 a night for rooms that were MUCH nicer than what I had been getting.  I ended up with 4 ½ Star accommodations in BETTER locations!

Yesterday I shared the details on how to secure a room at a deep discount using Priceline with Randa and this morning this is what she wrote:

I chose #3 Downtown San Diego & Harbor Island and I also put #9 National City-Chula Vista.

My original bid was $60.00 per night. It got rejected and Priceline suggested that I bid $17 more, so I bid $77.00 and got it.

P.S. Marie writes: I have not used Priceline for flights but I have used http://www.expedia.com I was able to see a variety of available discounted flights and pick the one that best suited my timetable.
